How do you know when to send messages?

Can anyone access my messages?
No. Reading your messages is never part of running NWLU: we never read them, and before a message is delivered, only your own signed-in account can open it. Never other users, and never your recipients until the moment you chose. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, we don't sell data, and we don't run ads. When a message releases, it goes only to the recipient you named. Our privacy policy spells out exactly where your words live and who could technically access them.
How is my vault protected?
- Everything you store is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored redundantly on Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Your words stay yours: you can export your entire vault anytime, and delete it just as easily.
- When a message releases, the recipient gets a private email link to view it. Nothing is ever posted publicly.
What if I change my mind?
You can edit or delete messages anytime. We also send you a monthly reminder to make any needed changes in your vault if you wish.
What happens if I stop paying?
Any message you scheduled while you were paying still delivers at the moment you chose, including your “if anything happens to me” messages. We stamp that promise onto each message the day you save it, and stopping payment later doesn't undo it. Your vault stays yours to read and export; you just can't add anything new unless you rejoin. If a payment simply fails, we email you and your card is retried before anything changes.
What happens to my messages if NWLU shuts down?
We keep a written wind-down plan for exactly that day. If NWLU ever had to close, everything would keep running for 90 more days: we email you right away, any message scheduled to deliver in that window still arrives, and you can export your whole vault to keep. Nothing goes dark without warning.
